So I would recommend this to anyone looking for a motion activated path/stair light that needs to be battery powered. It's been a long time and I haven't had to change the batteries. I leave them silent because you need to learn how to turn off the light when you're not in the room. I'm not paying to heat the entire neighborhood! I really like these. The only issue I have is with the mounts. I have a narrow stairwell where they were installed 3 feet above every third step. Every time I need to raise or lower something I have to try and set those powerful lights because they can fall off when the love is in the right place. Last professional advice. Stick the tape on the batteries before installation. This way you don't have to search for AAA batteries if it falls or gets hit.
