Mazda 3 Fix - Parts

This fixed an issue I had with my 2008 Mazda 3. I couldn't shift from Park to D. I also noticed that the brake lights didn't work either. If you see this, the first thing to check is the brake light fuse. Mine was good suggesting the brake light switch was faulty. Mine actually worked intermittently for about a week, making it difficult to troubleshoot. The switch can be changed easily and without tools. It only requires 1/4 turn and it's free. First remove the cable. I'm sure the dealer would have charged me a lot for that, plus a rental car for the day. Highly recommended. It was the same part as the OEM.
