Mazda 3 Fix - Parts

This fixed an issue I had with my 2008 Mazda 3. I couldn't shift from Park to D. I also noticed that the brake lights didn't work either. If you see this, the first thing to check is the brake light fuse. Mine was good suggesting the brake light switch was faulty. Mine actually worked intermittently for about a week, making it difficult to troubleshoot. The switch can be changed easily and without tools. It only requires 1/4 turn and it's free. First remove the cable. I'm sure the dealer would…

Fixed permanent warning lights on TPMS and TCS

My 2014 Mazda 3 started turning on the TPMS and TCS warning lights on the dash. TPMS flashes for one minute before turning on. These warning lights will turn on and off randomly. This went on for about a month before I came across a forum post where someone described the same issues with their Mazda 3 and that they replaced and repaired the brake light switch. Other reviews here on Revain have pointed out the same thing. The part that arrived looked exactly like the one in the car. The exchange

perfect fit for my Mazda - don't overdo the installation

Perfect replacement for my Mazda 5 when I'm having trouble shifting out of park mode (safety feature to make sure you press the brake pedal first - preserved children from unintentional gear changes on the machine) Probably also suitable for some other cars. If you damage the original derailleur when you remove it, it doesn't have the same travel or tension as the part you intend to put in - don't get confused like me. There's a mechanical self-adjustment that happens when you slide this little

Resolved issue with my 2014 Mazda 3

Resolved issue with my Mazda 3 TPMS and TCS lights came on at the same time. The owner's manual says this indicates a faulty TPMS sensor. But after some research online I came across many people who had the same problem and solved the problem by replacing the brake light switch. This part is a bit difficult to reach, my best access was lying on my back with my feet out of the driver's door so I could reach the top of the brake pedal lever. Once I was in that position, it was easy to uninstall…

Mazda 3 2010: Switch

Ordered this part for my 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback. Sometimes I had trouble shifting gears out of park. After googling a bit I found out that it was probably the brake light switch. The store I called told me to install for $125. Looking under the dash at a very narrow spot I decided if I could save a hundred bucks it was worth a shot. So I leaned over with the flashlight and turned the old switch clockwise until it clicked. I then used a flat head screwdriver to loosen the wiring harness. Putting

Repairing my Mazda CX5 2016

I want to list my problem, my symptoms and the result of my CX5 to help others. In the morning everything was fine. In fact, I had no previous symptoms or problems at all. I stopped at a gas station, the car stopped, filled up, but then the car wouldn't start. He stepped on the gas pedal and pushed the start button. The start button didn't turn green when I pressed the gas pedal. Even bringing the key to the start button didn't start. The start button just turned on the radio. It ended up…
