Be sure to pay attention to the girth measurements as there is no extra slack in this brace. It is easy to put tension in different areas because each strap can be tightened independently; a definite positive!My sister who is using this brace has cerebral palsy. She has difficulty maintaining her core position/sitting upright later in the day as she becomes fatigued. Without a brace, breathing and swallowing, talking and eating become nearly impossible so a good brace is important. This one is good while she is walking or still able to "sit tall” - fortunately, she is long in the torso area. Even with that, this brace is not comfortable while riding in the car or when reclining in a chair/bed.The brace washes well, is easy to adjust and the stays are removable and not hard to reinsert.
