I have many aquariums and have used these types of wave generators before but never these small ones. It's not powerful at all. I would use smaller tanks, like 10-30 gallons. My 55 or my 75 is not enough to do enough or even take a water break. They work, although they should only be used for small aquariums. I instructed the little ones to push the water around the back of the tank so the poo didn't pool behind the items on the bottom of the tank. This size was not efficient enough for that. At least not for my tanks. This is a good size to have on hand, although during a water change or if you even need to put the fish in a large bucket this will create enough movement to give them air. I gave 4 stars because the culprit keeps getting stuck in my plant tank. If anything bothers you, stop it. Just not as strong as the others to get through the wilderness.
