Bargain!: Water pumps

Place them in different places and direct the water to the inlet of the filter. They are great for tank circulation. Not only do they give your fish a "treadmill" like flow for "exercise" and swimming, they also direct all food and fish waste to the filter inlet if you can position them correctly. Not too strong, not too weak. With all 4 in 75 gallons they work great. 2 months and no problems.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I have been using it for several years. I use them in multiple tanks, just plug in and it runs. I've noticed that the flow slows down a bit after about a year and is easily stopped by garbage between 2 and 3 years. BUT at $5.50 per pump - what can you go wrong? I don't know of any other electric submersible that costs $5.50 and lasts two years or more.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Requires power socket

I have 55 gallons and probably only need 1.

I have 55 gallons and probably only need 1 but I'll add 2. Small things have power! I gave the other 2 to my brother for his 55 gallons of salt water. Wow.Update: They don't work properly and randomly suck up water! I've had them for a few months and just walked by my tank and found that my humu trigger is semi-primed in the front. I rushed to pull it out only to find the fan spinning backwards! Luckily he just had a mouth ulcer. Turning off and on again seemed to cause the burnout again, but…

The failure of 2 out of 4 pumps is a design issue.

Ordered 4 packs of these SunSun Sun JVP-110 528 GPH pumps: 2 out of 4 pumps continue to fail after 2 weeks of use. I turn off all my pumps during feeding and when they start up again after 15 minutes the shaft generator pumps are often reversed. They don't start properly and hardly let water through when turning backwards. I suspect they all have a design flaw that causes this to happen regularly. aquarium installation. I like the small size but this lack makes it unusable.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Operating speed

Good for now. Best in Aquarium Pumps and Filters

Heads work. I wouldn't say they worked the way they intended, but for the price and four powerheads, you get what you pay for. Sure, every now and then when you turn them on the flow goes in the opposite direction, but how often do you turn them off. And if they are upside down, press the power button and turn it back on. Again direct current viola. But don't expect to hook it up to your automatic wave controller and think you've got it. This is not the type of facility. On the upside, they…

Can't beat the price

First time buying this type of product (relatively new aquarist, still learning) but only about $5 each, I can't find it what to buy. Except. I would caution anyone with smaller fish (e.g. zebrafish) to wear nets on their sides to avoid getting sucked in, injured or killed. I simply shortened the old nylon fabric down to the knees so as not to reduce the suction power too much. Also, they are very strong, so be careful when aiming and do not use them in small aquariums or your fish may be blown

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Small aquariums are only good for aquarium pumps and filters

I have many aquariums and have used these types of wave generators before but never these small ones. It's not powerful at all. I would use smaller tanks, like 10-30 gallons. My 55 or my 75 is not enough to do enough or even take a water break. They work, although they should only be used for small aquariums. I instructed the little ones to push the water around the back of the tank so the poo didn't pool behind the items on the bottom of the tank. This size was not efficient enough for that…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Don't buy cheap junk.

I ordered this because the price for 4 was a lot cheaper than buying one. I used one of these on my 60 gallon tank. It was working fine until I was woken up at 2am by a horrible noise about a month later. I turned it off quickly. The next morning I took it off and replaced it with another one. It's been working fine ever since. I put the last 2 in my 75 gallon tank. They seemed fine. A few months passed and one day I found myself sucking a dead fish in front of him. Somehow the water has to be…
