I have used this on a few guns now and it works as intended. This will result in a light inlay with the chosen colored stick. There is a small problem and it affects the Cerakote coated gun. It penetrates the "pores" of the paintwork and leaves a colored sheen on the surface outside the engraving area. Mineral spirits will remove it, but at the same time it will also remove some of the material inside the engraving. It works great on the smooth, blued finish of the pistol.
