Review on DEWALT D26950 Heat Gun - Yellow by Kenneth Cotton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You can't go wrong with this heat gun.

This is a great hairdryer. I have two, one for work and one for home. I use homemade mainly to remove labels. At work I use it to remove the paper from the shelf and to preheat the vinyl composite tile before laying, and to take out the curve of the floor of the vinyl bay and fold it around the outside corners. I run it continuously for over an hour at a time, no problem. The heating is regulated throughout the range by turning the black control knob on the back. clockwise increases the heat, counterclockwise decreases it. It comes with some nozzles for different purposes that offer narrower or wider heat distribution. I had an issue with the first one I bought, it didn't get hot, so I took it to a Dewalt repair shop and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. In hindsight, I think that maybe it wasn't the gun, but that I didn't understand how the black dial worked. Yes I know - DUH!

Pros
  • Cable protector prevents the cable from being pulled out of the case.
Cons
  • Almost never.
