Scotsman Water Filter Under Sink Ice Maker

I am having trouble with our Scotsman Ice Maker. Installed this filter even though it was designed for a larger commercial ice machine. Seems to be working great. I added a small valve and hose to vent air and flush the filter. I like the pressure gauge at the top with the red arrow.
