I've been looking for a camcorder that is compatible with Apple HomeKit for a long time. Eve System's Eve Cam has finally arrived. This allows me fully encrypted access to this camera. Like all other Eve products, it was easy to set up. 1) I plugged Eve Cam's USB power adapter into a power outlet. 2) I opened the Eve app, touched Settings > Accessories > Add Accessories and followed the on-screen instructions. That's it! The Eve Cam communicates over WiFi, but you don't have to manually connect to WiFi. The Eve app does it all automatically!I use my Eve Cam to monitor the front of my house from my basement office.My Eve Cam stands up the windowsill in my second floor bedroom. I use the Home app on my Mac to live stream video to an external monitor. To avoid raising suspicions from the neighbors, I turned off the Eve Cam status light in the Home app on my iPhone. When I'm out of town, I take Eve Cam with me to monitor my living room and spot an intruder Thanks to my home hub (AppleTV in our case), I get notifications and access Eve Cam from anywhere The Eve Cam has a neck that rotates vertically and horizontally, making it easy to find the best angle. All of our Eve products are very reliable and I expect the Eve Cam will perform well for a long time.
