Review on BAREN Toilet Brush IKEA by Cara Dudas

more of a decorative item, not intended for use

In terms of product quality, not much has changed at IKEA since the 1990s. Some items will last for decades, while others won't last more than a few months. A case in point: the BAREN toilet brush. If the brush is not handled very carefully when cleaning, the metal half will separate from the bottom half (which is a plastic stick with a metal cap) because both metal parts are (get it!) a thin circular bead of glue. The handle can only withstand minimal pressure, but it's only a matter of time before the adhesive degrades and loses its adhesion. Whoever designed this product knows nothing about functionality or durability. Sure, it looks nice, neat, and modern, but that's where the value ends. The only real BAREN benefit worth mentioning is the plastic cup that sits on the bottom of the holder and slides out for easy cleaning.

Pros
  • replacement brush; Keep the handle and use the LOSSNEN spare brush.
Cons
  • too stupid
