Works as expected. The old one came from the house and was intended for the drain line of the washing machine. The drain continued to decrease. I lengthened the drain but couldn't push it far enough. Tried water bladder and jet nozzle - without success. In the evening I tried Draino Gel. Another safeguard when using the washing machine. Eventually gave up and called a plumber. He removed the old Studor Vent and the washing machine drained with no problems. He offers to buy it from Revain instead of paying him $200 (yes, you read that right) for a new one. He suggests replacing them every 5 years along with the washing machine hoses and drain hose. I highly recommend this item.
