Review on LimoStudio AGG139 Photography Umbrella Studio Lighting Kit with White and Black Backdrop - Ultimate Photo Studio Solution by John Frazier

My new favorite for inexpensive diffusion.

As a photographer who primarily uses flash outdoors, I use a TON of these white see-through umbrellas. The wind knocks them over all the time, so you often have to replace them. This is my first time using the LimoStudio brand. For the price of $12.99 I was expecting to see another made up product with no frills. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this model has several advantages that I didn't expect. When the umbrella is closed there is a small latch at the bottom to keep it in that position. It will be very handy in the field.- The ends of each metal piece have a plastic cap so it doesn't hurt your eyes! Haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, but I expect it to work well. While others have mentioned losing the light stop, this is normal for every light modifier I've used. If you don't have enough flash power to afford that loss, check out this mount. DSLRKIT Dual/Triple Flash Arm Umbrella Holder Light Stand 1/4" Screw In terms of durability, this isn't a $50 umbrella. And even high-end models break under the influence of wind or falls. I stopped looking at more expensive brands when I realized the wind was going to hit my modifiers, I'd rather substitute a $15 umbrella than $50.
