Review on Lakewood LSF1610BR-BM 16-inch Stand Fan with Remote Control in Black by Lisa Couture

I've ordered a number of similar remote controlled vertical fans over the past few years - this one is one of if not the most expensive. a higher quality fan, but it's one of the lowest quality fans I've tried. Yes, it's quiet and blows air, but it was more difficult to set up than any previous fan. The way you have to secure the front of the guard was almost impossible - my mom couldn't even hope to lower the clips that came with the kit - I could barely. They also want you to put an incredibly small bolt in a nut in a tiny hole in the bottom of the gate/cover, whatever you want to call it. It went straight in the trash - I wouldn't waste time on such a tiny screw. It's best to have them put on a zip tie or something similar if they're worried their clamps won't work. Once this is all assembled the remote will not work. Just dead. After playing around with the batteries for 10 minutes I found that the one positive pin just wasn't making contact with the metal, I had to use a knife to pry the metal further and some tinfoil to wrap the support connection. I finally managed to get the remote working, but I don't really think it will last long. I give it 2 stars even though it works like a fan because I have no reason to give anyone more money to buy this model. a cheaper one with the same specs and probably better quality.
