Bought because we got a different TV and I didn't want to pay the cable company another $10/month for a 2nd/3rd cable box assuming I had to watch the same thing on all 3 televisions. when you watch cable, but how often do the kids watch TV and so do you? Usually Netflix on one, Prime on the other, and cable on the third. So this is exactly what we need and we are very happy with this purchase.
