love/hate in circular saws

I have a love/hate relationship with this dado set. The presentation is excellent as is the price. And it cuts beautifully. What I don't like is the hole in the pergola. It's so tight I can barely attach the first 2 blades - be it the outer blade and chopper or just the outer 2 blades. I use a Hitachi table saw with a 5/8 mandrel. I ended up taking 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper and sanding my mandrel (making sure it's very clean, as is the inside of the mandrel hole in the blades, and that it's very tight - so tight that I tap it got to). a hammer and a block of wood to fully install it. When I need multiple choppers, the last few blades go in easier than I expected them all to slide. Now you might be thinking that my mandrel is the problem and not the blades (and that may very well be the case) but I have another Diablo/Freud blade that my husband put on the table saw and it was great too tight - I basically had to pry it off after tapping it with a hammer. My husband didn't remember if this blade was difficult to fit but I suspect he tightened it until it got to the tight part and used it then a nut to secure it to the end of the shaft. what I did to put on the first dado blade. Days when I had finished my project. I'll stick with Diablo/Freud blades for our circular saws, but I need to reconsider if they're the right choice for our table saw.
