Easy assembly, reminds me of Nintendo Atomic Purple. Basically, removing the 5 or so screws on the back was a piece of cake. There are plenty of guides to ensure you have the correct model controller for this faceplate and it's easy to do if you need help. The buttons rearranged and snapped onto the new plastic faceplate. I used the original screws but there are new ones in the kit. I didn't get any sticky plastic or rough edges on my hand during gameplay. A good product.
