Amazing receiver, very good signal quality even with a tiny antenna. I can get my Acurite 5n1 transducer from all my property! plus a police radio scanner, FM radio stations where my other radio tuners are having signal strength issues. I spent most of the night playing with the device and the GQRX app on my Mac! The application can be obtained through Macports or Homebrew. Another useful application is rtl_433 for receiving weather stations, troubleshooting your car's Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS), troubleshooting wireless security systems, all types of keyless entry systems, wireless remote controls, etc. There are many guides and instructions. -s in the big internet.
