Fatal Error

I really wanted this amplifier. IR remote control, line level subwoofer, works cool, much cooler than the fosi that exploded. However, there is one downer with this amp: when listening to material where the silence lasts longer than half a second, such as a podcast where people are just talking, the amp seems to turn off momentarily, then there's a small click heard from the speakers, and the sound breaks again, cutting off the first syllable of the speaker's words. At first I thought this was the crappy editing work of the podcast itself. Then I started hearing it in more and more material. Finally I started troubleshooting. When I plugged the headphones directly into the DAC, I realized it was an amp and didn't hear that annoying disconnect at all. Maybe it's some kind of power saving feature where the amp turns itself off when it doesn't detect a signal. If so, it's WAY too aggressive and makes it literally impossible to hear pure voice material. This is unacceptable. I'll be back as soon as my new amp arrives if Dook doesn't help fix it. to hear pure speech material. This is unacceptable.
