Review on Keep Drafts Out: 16Ft Long Silicone Seal Strip For Doors, Windows & Showers by Andrew West

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So Far So Good for my opinion

I have a storage room with a door that opens outward. The seals are on the inside, where the door closes, so water could get into the gap on the outside, where the lock and deadbolt extend from the door to the molding. I wanted something to cover that gap when the door is closed, and this product seemed to be what I needed, so I purchased it.I was concerned about adhesion when I read some of the other reviews, but I've had no problems so far. In fact, when I tried a test strip on the door, it stuck so well that it pulled a few bits of the latex paint off. If it continues to stick to the door, it will be perfect. I should mention that the paint on the door is a satin finish latex paint, so I don't know how well it would stick to glossy paints or other finishes.Installing it was extremely easy, and it works as I hoped when I open and close the door. We've had a few heavy rains after installing it, and it seems to keep the water from getting into the gap. So, as I said, if it continues to adhere to the latex paint on the door, it will be the perfect product for this application.
