My teenager has a head injury. We bought it on purpose because a gas stove and an injured person are incompatible! Well, just a few months after buying it, our daughter turned on ALL FOUR BURNERS on the stove - to the hilt. There was no crack or flame. only gas flows into our kitchen. This went on for many, many minutes before we noticed. The Nighthawk, bought to save us from that (unthinkable) event, was completely silent at 8ft. The gas level in the kitchen was unusually high. I suspect it was well over 20%, probably by a significant amount. Why was this car silent? I'm absolutely amazed that this product didn't do what it was supposed to do - warn us of dangerous gas levels. We are really lucky to be alive but we are incredibly disappointed with this product and pray this situation will not happen to anyone!
