It was easy to install. Make sure you have the manual handy when trying to set it up. I'm pretty good at just "mastering" a digital watch, but there are a few things that aren't intuitive. Works perfectly. The brightness level increases in sunlight and decreases at night. I chose to use two 3M velcro straps for hanging rather than permanently attaching the base to the dash.
