Some information about me and why I am writing this particular review. I have been involved with low voltage and 12 volt wiring professionally or as a hobby since the early 1980's. I know what I'm doing here. I have used countless terminal crimping tools and have literally developed several high quality and countless low quality crimping/stripping tools. I have a background for this material. These are pretty simple items. Crimp connectors have been around for as long as I can remember and to be honest they shouldn't be a problem. Let's focus on the good. The material of the heat-shrink tubing on the insulators is level. It compresses and seals well for a very clean and professional installation. The range allows you to have a good selection for different projects in one place without having to buy a mess of rarely used tips. And the organizer is pretty nice and should be reusable if you fill it with really good ends. It's a real metal crimp that makes me wonder what the heck were they thinking? It is so obvious that the manufacturer saved in every possible way to reduce the amount of materials and still produce a quality product, and then saved even more. The problem is that when crimping the connector on the cable I am concerned that I will either simply break the crimp termination with the crimping tool OR the crimp will not hold securely to the cable. They don't feel as harsh as any other crimp terminals I've used from suppliers around the world over the decades. Don't even try to crimp with a standard low voltage crimping tool. The connections are simply unreliable. I CAN and for this project they worked. HOWEVER, I WILL NOT BUY THESE AGAIN. AND I WILL NOT USE THESE IN HIGH VIBRATION ENVIRONMENTS. Simply put, I feel that these crimp terminals are not well built to withstand the rigors of years of high vibration service, as is often the case with heat shrink crimp contacts. used for example in 4x4 / overlanding or marine applications. They are so thin that I am concerned about breakage and shorting caused by them. The quality of the inner metal structure is too low. And it seems unsafe to me. Do yourself a favor and turn it down.
