They are much better than the ones I used to buy at our local farm store. I bought another brand in a pack of 10 to use in my bird feeders but my chickens just laughed at me. Other mounting hardware was so flimsy that the girls just scraped it off the backing paper when trying to shake it up (think 1/16″ mounting hardware on 12x12″ wax paper). These matryoshkas are amazing. I used straw again in my 4 bird feeders but the chickens scratched it all over so I started putting these liners in 2 of my 4 bird feeders. All the girls began to lie in these two boxes. I added it to another and then finally put them in all 4. The chickens have been scratching and fluffing up their nests to their heart's content and now they are in all 4 boxes, not just 1 or 2. I've had these pads for almost a full year. a month and just shake them out when they get big dirty spots and they keep working. I will definitely buy these again!
