Review on Upgrade Your Trailer Lighting With LIMICAR Rectangle Kit: Waterproof, LED Lights & 25Ft Wiring Harness For Over 80" Vehicles by Ricky Snyder

Got my trailer back on the road.

I used this trailer light kit to replace a cobbled-together, multi-spliced light setup on an old utility trailer. Don't waste time (and money) trying to get a Homer Simpson trailer light system working.just buy a complete set like this and do everything at once.uninterrupted runs of wire, new lights, new harness connectors, etc.Instead of using the supplied twist-nuts to connect wiring, I soldered where necessary and used heat-shrink tubing and connectors. I also put rubber grommets where the wires passed through any holes in the metal frame of the trailer. The wire diameter of the wiring harness system could have gone one gauge thicker, but given the light load of an LED light system, it's no doubt sufficient. The lights worked the first time I connected the harness to my vehicle.I was pleasantly surprised.I usually have to re-do at least one light on projects like this. The LED taillights are brighter than my old tungsten-bulb units and have good coverage even at viewing angles other than directly behind them, which might help prevent an idiot driver on a phone from driving into your trailer. I can't comment on how submersible the lights are, as this is not a boat trailer, but several rains have not revealed any issuesI would agree with others that the license bracket is flimsy, but the fact is.and I'm not saying this makes it OK.every trailer lighting kit I looked at seemed to have the exact same thin plastic license bracket. If I'm feeling especially frisky this winter I may make one from aluminium plate.or I may just wait and see how long this bracket lasts. The included reflective strips were a nice touch.

Really good LED lights. Has everything you need except a couple of things.- Mounting bracket on back of light did not aline with existing bracket. Be prepared to modify your bracket.- Have to make sure you have a really good ground or the light won’t work. Scrape the paint off your own metal.
