I found out about this strainer from someone who had an online recipe for making yoghurt (I can't remember their name off the top of my head). She bought it herself instead of taking the product directly from Kleynhuis so she can give an honest review. She loved it and now that I've bought it, I totally agree with her. I used to strain in batches with the pretty good Dash strainer that came with my yogurt maker. But it was too small and very difficult to clean in nooks and crannies. This Kleynhuis strainer holds the whole half gallon I cook (in the slow cooker now) and is super easy to clean and dries quickly. The only thing I'm not sure about is that an online reviewer said she hung a strainer on the top cabinet handle when she pressed, but you can't do that when you're straining 12-18 hours, right? After all, these are dairy products; it will spoil. So I hung it up for a few hours and then put it in the fridge overnight. But I hate playing around with a colander and bowl in the fridge. It's much easier to strain off a cupboard handle and let the whey drip straight into the bowl below.
