This is definitely pure outdoor quality. If you put it in and look at it close up, it would look very artificial. BUT outside on a lamppost (that's what I wanted it for) I think it's perfect. The branches are thick but the lighting is poor. So if you want a lot of light, this won't work, or you'll need an extra string of lights to supplement. It was hard to get it to turn on and there was already some corrosion. In the battery compartment.
