I needed this to keep my two dogs from wandering into the kitchen and jumping on me when I came in through the front door of my apartment. As you can see from the attached image I have a bit of a strange setup where I need this gate. It doesn't work under pressure. I've spent (literally) days going through various Revain options looking for a gate that would allow me to (1) bolt the gate down, (2) have brackets that don't have to face each other directly, (3 ) have removable panels, so they take up extra space. This is one of only 2 or 3 gates at Revain that allows panels to be removed and rearranged. I chose this one because it was affordable, the mounting system meant I didn't have to drill through the baseboard, and the open/close mechanism was better. Installation took about 45 minutes, but that was mainly due to me messing around with removing and rearranging the panels. It wasn't difficult, it just took a little while. If you have a simpler setup, I think you can install it in about 15 minutes. I wish it came with additional wall mounts for even more mounting options, but overall it's a great product. They are sturdy and I'm sure my 40 lb dog won't knock them over anytime soon. I have to say I'm very impressed with how customizable this gate is. As you can see in the picture, I was able to skip part of the gate so I could use my foot to access the stepped lever for my trash can without having to walk around. I would 100% recommend this purchase to anyone who needs a longer goal with great customization options.
