Sturdy, easy installation in many sizes

I've used them on reptiles, amphibians and rodents. They are durable and come in so many sizes that any tank, even an old 1940's metaframe with a slate bottom, can be fitted with one of these caps. , or a night lamp from above without the risk of fire. The metal resists the teeth of hamsters and rats. All sorts of clips are sold to fit the plastic frames of modern tanks, so it will be a bit difficult for small animals to lift the lid to escape and embark on a nighttime adventure. The lids' structure is strong enough that I could take softball-sized granite rocks and place them near corners without the metal bending or warping. Clamps don't hold big rats. Venting is great for all tanks except 39 gallon ultra tall or other ultra tall tanks. The depth of the tank does not allow airflow. Any animal in these tanks, unless it's a turtle, needs a small clamp on the fan to move air down into the tank. My favorite cylinders are the 20 gallon and the 39 gallon. The ventilation of these tanks is perfect with these lids. I have had these lids for over 7 years and they have been tossed, stored and a small container placed on top. And they are in excellent condition. That's all I use. I tried the plastic one with a fabric shade and hinges and was disappointed with the quality. I can post pictures and answer any questions about this product. I have many sizes ranging from 12" Γ— 36" up to 10 gallon tank sizes with many in between. Measure your tank and choose a size that is within a quarter inch of your tank size and fits. They are easily adjustable.
