I've had a SmartThings hub for a few years and am slowly adding more and more smart lighting to my home. The problem has always been that with many lights, there was no reliable way to reliably replace the wall switch. This often resulted in me fumbling with my phone or yelling at Alexa in a dark room, trying to remember the correct way to turn on the lights. Preset graphics work for some things, motion detection is useful for others, but sometimes all you need is a switch to turn on the light. This is the SmartThings button. Place it anywhere and set up up to three different things it can control depending on how you press it. As a bonus, the back is even magnetic, meaning you can attach it to any steel surface (e.g. a fridge). I only recently discovered these knobs so time will tell how well they work, but at first glance they seem to be exactly what I was looking for. Setting up with the SmartThings was easy and they are relatively responsive, registering clicks within a few seconds, which is perfectly acceptable to me. I now have 4 and I've even used them to replace the pull chain on an old pantry light. If there are any weird issues I'll be sure to update the review in the future, but for now everything is great!
