Having spent most of my life in the lighting industry I can say this is a great product! It is very well made and is great for individual portraits or small groups. It is small enough to hold in hand when needed. It's a very well thought out design and works as promised. I have some heavy duty racks in my garage and wanted something lighter so I ordered a kit. The stand is really ideal for indoor use and should be used outdoors in calmer conditions. It probably won't take strong winds unattended, but it really is the perfect balance of weight and strength. My main comment here is really on the stand as the other reviews cover the box well. This is probably a minor issue for most people, but the stand doesn't fit the receiver properly. The stand has a 1/4"-20 threaded screw on top. I had to buy a 5/8" bolt for a 1/4-20 adapter for $10 from Revain. Yes, the box mount fits on the stand, but it wobbles. The top of the stand is about 1/2" and the receiver is 5/8". You really need that extra adapter to make it fit snugly. for the price i can definitely take it. $20 or something for a booth is very cheap. It would cost them about 50 cents to add an adapter to make it a perfect fit. buy it and you will see what i mean. Otherwise a great device for the price! Buy it!
