The USB-A output works well with iPads and iPhones, although the latter requires USB-C for fast charging.

This fast charger offers up to 3A output power through the USB-A output, allowing you to quickly charge fast charging products this way. Note that Apple's iPhone doesn't charge as fast as it needs a USB-C output. The charger provides the 2 amps needed to charge an iPad as standard or charge an iPhone moderately and quickly enough. My adapter showed the correct 5.1 volts coming through the adapter.
