For some reason, the mesh cover was installed tightly on the Aeropress cylinder. In the previous Aeropress, the lid was put on very loosely. This one also has to hold the cylinder when putting on the lid. And oh, how inconvenient it is when the cylinder is full of boiling water. I solved the problem by replacing the covers between the compact and standard aeropresses (I own both). Now both covers are put on with minimal effort. The volume here is also less than that of a standard Aeropress. As a result, you have to adapt a little to it: brew coffee a little stronger and then dilute it with boiling water to get the same portion of coffee as from the standard one.
