13106 is a retractable cord with 400 steam holes. 13101 has 300 vapor holes and a non-retractable cord. (This cable has the ability to adjust the falloff to the right or left, which is a nice feature.) The ceramic-coated bezel is nice, but not as smooth and "sliding" (haha) as the stainless steel bezel. It needed a bit of tweaking, but after a while it didn't bother me anymore. Aside from the size/weight difference, which accounts for the draw code and steam holes, these two irons are very similar. The 13101's front panel is slightly shorter, the water hole is slightly smaller, and the backlight is in a different location. Everything else is the same. What I like: 30 minute auto shut off! Like a quilting machine that alternates between ironing and sewing, most irons have an auto shutoff that turns off too soon, so you always have to wait for it to heat up. Not so with the 30 minute window - plus the beep sounds first to let you know you can restart the timer. That gives me some peace of mind in case I forget the iron. Good steam and steam button. It also has a built-in atomizer and a large enough tank so you don't have to keep refilling it. What I don't like: No off/set button. You cannot turn off this iron. You can leave it for 30 minutes and it will turn off by itself, or you have to unplug it. The light is on all the time when plugged in, even when the iron isn't heating up. That means when you want your iron plugged in, the light stays on, even when it's not hot. I chose the 13101 iron because I never really put my iron away (I leave it in the sewing room). and I liked the lighter weight/smaller profile of the 13101 compared to the 13106.
