Firstly, despite the fact that the price of this item is VERY overpriced and although my first one failed due to poor assembly (see photo), I have just ordered a second one because I haven't found a better one yet. It keeps my iPad securely in the air and also allows me to use it as an everyday bag (by removing the leg strap) when I'm not flying. I didn't order the first one through Revain so I can't go into my story and say how long it took before it failed, but I think it was 18 months to 2 years. than just fly. I usually take off the elastic knee pads and only put them on during the flight. I take my iPad to work every day and use MyGoFlight as a protective cover in my briefcase. This is a decent all-purpose case. But in the air it behaves as it should. Elastic straps keep the iPad snugly in place, while an internal swivel plate makes it easy to position the iPad horizontally or vertically. The magnetic, detachable clipboard reliably keeps the paper notepad in place for me. Aside from being grossly overpriced, my biggest complaint is that one of the tiny screws holding the metal band's support brackets seems to have come loose, allowing the metal bracket to swing freely. See photo. If I get a new one from my last order I risk destroying the original to experiment a bit. I think the screw head is only accessible from the inside and you have to rip the fabric inside to get to the screw head to attach it. A little superglue in the thread can help keep it from coming undone, and tape on the inside of the torn can prevent the tear from propagating and securing the second one. (The area of fabric to be ripped is behind the rotating plate so it is mostly hidden after ripping).
