Sometimes when charging the phone in a case, Zerolemon gives an error that moisture has gotten into the case and the case cannot charge the phone, although I keep it phone in a dry place. When this happens I have to disassemble the Zerolemon case, take out the phone and immediately reassemble everything to "reboot" the Zerolemon case and it charges normally. Of course, this takes time and is very cumbersome. I've never had this problem with another company's battery case for a previous phone. If the Zerolemon case allows me to charge my phone, it works very well.
