Replaces a fan with unusually high resistance. This one seems capable of being taken apart if you think fixing the windings or removing lint/debris from the fan itself is an option for you. Otherwise it works very well as a replacement (also replaced the relay just in case) and pushes a lot more air than the original fan it replaced (even if the original was new it couldn't compete with this one I usually give out I've spent a long time scouring Amazon to find the best option, but if you believe me, save yourself the search, and as long as your car is compatible with this fan, I recommend THIS) PS, our stock Chevy The Equinox fan had white plastic wings, this one is black but as you saw in my review it doesn't matter and it's not brittle at all.
