We have a handmade wooden table that folds and I wanted better chairs than our chart table chairs. Those are good chairs. My kids have yet to fold them even though they stand on them and sit in all their weird positions and are told to sit properly. The chairs close well but are easy to fold up if needed. They are also easy to clean. As a precaution we have placed felt pads on the underside of our laminate. The bottom edges appeared to have rough spots that would otherwise have scratched the floor. We use these chairs every day and so far they have held up well. We use them for lunch. I don't think I want to sit in it for hours. But they're comfortable enough for lunch or playing board games.
