Our Eureka Maxima was a gift from a family member so we really didn't have a choice. If we had the chance, we'd buy a model that doesn't rank as badly in places like Consumer Reports. As they say, it works fine. Or so it was until this piece got a bit of life. Once the bristles wore out and lost their rigidity, the vacuum cleaner was almost useless. In a last ditch attempt to salvage a still running but inefficient machine I purchased this spare. Immediately after installation, the vacuum cleaner returned to its original state. So don't expect miracles, just a return to form.
