These Arctix boots are ideal for young children. They have both a buckle for a snug fit around the ankle and an adjustable elastic strap at the top to keep them snug enough at the top to keep snow from getting in and getting wet and freezing on a child's feet. warm fleece covering the walls and soles - the entire inner shoe. The outer layer is waterproof. The outsole of the boots has a rubbery feel. My granddaughter wore them yesterday. They really fit and are comfortable. It was pouring rain so she didn't get to try them in the snow but I'll update this review if there's anything to add once she does. My goal is to provide an honest and helpful review.
