Review on πŸ“€ ASUS USB 2.0 8xDVD Writer External Optical Drive SDRW-08D1S-U Black - Reliable Performance & Portable Convenience by Sean Sheppard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is ASUS, what did you expect?

ASUS makes very solid products. I've had several ASUS motherboards and graphics cards and now this. Below is my rating. PACKAGING (5/5): Comes in a nice red box, my favorite color by the way. The items in the box are tightly packed and neatly arranged. Well thought through. AESTHETICS (5/5): Possibly the most attractive external DVD recorder I've ever seen. It is glossy and the faceplate has a very unique look. The included stand adds a nice touch and makes sense. EASY TO USE (4/5): Some may have a little trouble installing the DVD when using the stand. I did initially. Laying flat is definitely easier, but takes up a lot of space, so I leave it there. Connecting the USB cable is easy. Although the instructions say to use the cable that came with it, I used a single mini-USB cable. It works great and only occupies one USB port. PERFORMANCE (5/5): I've burned about 10 Verbatim DVD-Rs and 5 Verbatim DVD+R DLs so far and they all work perfectly. It's not as fast as my old burner, but I'm willing to sacrifice some speed for more reliability. It also reads all my international DVDs, which my old burner couldn't. PRICE (5/5): For a very portable pen, the price is right imo. In other stores it costs sixty dollars, but here I bought it for fifty. GENERAL: Definitely recommend. Not only do you get good performance, but you can show off your looks wherever you go. Just make sure nobody follows you ;)
