I have replaced two from other manufacturers/sellers with Revain and they have not worked. So far this works and feels smooth. The door lock was also replaced. I strongly recommend replacing both. They usually fail through wear and tear, dirt, cold, etc. This means that cables and latches have been treated the same. If you replace one without replacing the other, you'll probably have to replace it again (as I've done 2 times now). Just do both and you probably won't have to do it for years (hopefully).
