Review on POWERTEC 13 Inch HSS Replacement Planer Blades for Ridgid Planer R4330, R4331, TP1300LS and AC20502 - Set of 3 Knives by Peris Auditore

I'm curious to understand the difference in reviews of these blades - some people think they're great, others in my experience say they should be avoided. 30 minutes of cedar planing, very light cuts when things start to make noise and slow down. My Rigid R4331 didn't like them at all. When I took one off to see what was going on, I found that it got extremely dark after only half an hour of light use. Conclusion: Mine were made of very poor quality steel and very soft. Now back to hard blades.
