Incredibly sharp, good for planer knives

These blades are a perfect match for my Ridgid R4331. They have a slot rather than a mounting hole so you can move them around if you hit a rock/nail and chip the blade. Don't forget to inspect the wood before cutting new blades! They finished the entire kitchen with cherry wood cabinets.

Ideal for saw blades, parts and accessories

After reading some of the reviews I was concerned that these knives would not fit my Ridgid 4331 planer. I'm glad that the negative reviews didn't put me off buying it. These knives fit perfectly. I can't say anything about the durability of the knives. I've only walked about 30 feet of oak plank since installing the Powertec knives, but so far so good, they cut very well.

Could use a little PR guidance.

UPDATE: Got more blades and they were right. Only aggravated by the inconvenience and disappointed with the company's response to ZERO. Upgraded to 3 stars because the blades are ok only people selling them. I've bought these blades four times now. The first 3 passed with no problems. This time someone didn't pay attention to the labels and I got the wrong product. As a carpenter, I need these blades for my job! Pay attention! I'll see how the customer support works [and how accurate it is] and

Very Poor Performance

I'm curious to understand the difference in reviews of these blades - some people think they're great, others in my experience say they should be avoided. 30 minutes of cedar planing, very light cuts when things start to make noise and slow down. My Rigid R4331 didn't like them at all. When I took one off to see what was going on, I found that it got extremely dark after only half an hour of light use. Conclusion: Mine were made of very poor quality steel and very soft. Now back to hard blades.

Very disappointed: Cloths, parts and accessories

I installed them on my Ridgid R4331. Other reviewers have indicated that they had to file the grommets on the ends of the knives to fit, but that wasn't necessary for me. I was skeptical after reading the mixed reviews but the knives were needed quickly to complete the job. I ran 12 pieces of 1X4 American Cherry through the slicer, removing 1/64 inch (maybe less - ⅛ turn on the cutterhead handle) on each pass. By the third pass the boards were dull, like butter knives with a few prongs on them.

Garbage shovels are made of soft metal.

After months of heavy use of branded hard blades, I finally installed these blades about 5 weeks ago. Initially they fit and worked well for a few passes on softer woods. Scratched very quickly only on wood, hence all my products had lines. Good for old blades, but more than bad after 3 weeks of use in the hobby shop. After pulling through a piece of maple with a very light pass today, I noticed the scrapes look worse. Made another pass to make sure the two blades broke in half and flew out the
