In general, I think this is a worthy product. It has its own quirks but I think it's worth the money. Pros: - It's a small device that you can take almost anywhere. - It's a cheap way to get an audio recording of almost anything. - It has SPDIF inputs and outputs. - You can get 5.1 surround sound as output. - It comes with a decent piece of software called Xear Audio Center to set it up. You can adjust the decibel volume for each input/output and change the decibel level for each ear individually. Disadvantages: - When listening, a very clear and high-pitched rumble can be heard. The best way to counter this was to turn off the device itself and turn on what I want to hear. - All audio inputs have a tinny sound. - If you touch or move the device while listening to something on the recording, you can hear it. - Audio outputs are weak and sometimes delayed by about half a second or a full second. - Although it comes with software, it doesn't do much. It can only turn on what you hear (inputs and outputs) and change the volume.
