The hose was easy to install and didn't have any cracking problems that some others may have reported. What I really like is that the part that attaches to the washing machine itself is adjustable in multiple sizes that you can cut yourself. The top arch can be adjusted to any length, our problem was that water was leaking out of the wall through the top hole because the hose didn't go in far enough before, this allowed us to move the U shape down a third of the Tubing leaves plenty of excess tubing to go down the pipe and solve our backflow problem. My only criticism is that the GE washer holes are smaller and we had to cut the tubing down to the smallest size to fit the hole and the metal ring clamp provided is too big to fit the smallest size, luckily we had our own which we could use instead, which works great for making a tight clamp
