In contrast to many warm white LEDs, these actually last. Soft white glow with hints of yellow, like a good incandescent bulb. They half convert to any standard bayonet that fits a 1156 automotive lightbulb. They dim from 8 volts. At 12V full brightness they draw about 350mA and are blindingly bright. At 11V they are still very bright and the current drops significantly down to about 200mA. They work great at 9, 10, 11 volts so you can put some diodes in series with them to dim the brightness. I have used them in vintage post lights controlled by a rotary switch with varying numbers of 1A diodes in series with them allowing me to control low, medium and high light. Very good. There is no heat.
