Overall it's good but I expect more, there are some downsides.

A WD portable HDD that was getting on in years needed to be upgraded, so I did that. This time around, I'm utilizing it with a portable case that supports USB 3.0. Therefore, "parking" issues appear to be his primary concern. It is worth pausing the movie, stepping back to make tea, and practically instantly it is already in a kind of "sleep" state. As soon as you restart watching, the movie abruptly terminates (after about a minute), and you have to start it over, and sometimes even connect the disk to a new one. It is worth pausing the movie. PC. The occurrence of unexpected shutdowns is yet another issue that has been discovered. As soon as you begin the process of transferring a large file to it, the hard drive has the potential to disengage from the front case USB 3.0 port. After this, it quickly reconnects, but the transfer process is halted, and you will need to begin the process from the beginning once more. It is not necessary to be connected to the USB port on the motherboard in order for the HDD to remain operational. It's possible that the problem is with the power supply, however I've never seen this issue with any other portable HDD. It would appear from what has been said that the HDD in question is only suited for use in the storage of files that do not require quick access. For the record, it will constitute the greatest amount. However, the use of it is frequently rather unpleasant.

Pros
  • Not extremely noisy (in comparison to the 2.5 HDD that WD had previously produced), and it does not overheat.
Cons
  • It "parks" quite frequently, and occasionally it will switch off by itself.
