I was concerned about this, and after opening my installation for a recent update, my fears were confirmed. I contacted the seller to see if they have a solution. Let's see how they react. Update: The seller, Angel Mall, replied to my email and essentially told me to buy one of their other heatsinks that had a screw to attach it to the SSD as the heat would cause the silicon strips to break to fail. So not only do they sell a product that is destined to fail, they recommend I spend more money on one of their other radiators! Unfortunately I can't do that because the thermal pad is sticking to my SSD just enough that I have to force it off and risk damaging the SSD or ripping off the label and voiding my warranty. My $200 WD SN750 idles at 56 degrees F with only one thermal pad, so I tried zipping it up to keep it more secure. It only helped getting down to 53 degrees and I can only hope the heat doesn't cause it to fail prematurely. I recommend avoiding generic heatsinks that use silicon straps to secure the heatsink and definitely avoid shopping at Angel Mall or any of those Chinese vendors if you can avoid them!
