Not a bad little mini monitor, but not ideal for standalone use

As mini monitors go, this one isn't bad, offering easy setup, decent imaging, and responsive touchscreens. It pairs well with a mini PC or Raspberry Pi (which I tested mine on) and with a little creativity you'll find you can have other uses for it. EXAMPLE: This screen + mini PC + Reaper installation + audio interface and you have a mobile multitrack recorder to record demos and ideas on the go. The screen is small (I have a 7-inch model) so you wouldn't want to run modern games on it - the resolution will definitely leave something to be desired - but it's good for retro games. I played Sonic. It looked great! It should be noted that this is NOT suitable for use as a standalone mini monitor. Some small monitors like this one are great for travel and similar purposes. However, this one doesn't have a panel covering the back so all the hardware and chips are exposed and exposed. That's fine if you're installing it on a Pi or Mini PC works too if you're planning on hanging it on the wall - it comes with the necessary hardware to do it, btw - but although the product photos show you I don't think you'll want to be using this like a tablet. No, unless the back is closed by installing on a mini PC. In other words, don't think of it as a standalone mini monitor. Instead, treat it as one of the components of any project you choose to build. Keep that in mind and understand the limitations of a 7 inch screen and I think you will be happy with that.

Pros
  • APROTIAS
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
